Why You Need an Aerus Air Scrubber

In today’s increasingly polluted world, maintaining clean indoor air quality has never been more crucial. An Aerus Air Scrubber offers a state-of-the-art solution, ensuring that the air within your home is not only clean but healthier for your family. We understand the importance of a breathable environment that supports well-being.

Stay tuned as we explore the significant advantages of integrating an Aerus Air Scrubber into your home or office. From reducing harmful airborne contaminants to eliminating odors, this system transforms your indoor atmosphere, creating a safer, more comfortable living space. Continue reading to learn why investing in an Aerus Air Scrubber is a wise and health-conscious decision for any household.

Understanding the Functionality of the Aerus Air Scrubber

The Aerus Air Scrubber uses a combination of light and reactive metals to create a photocatalytic reaction that produces charged clusters of hydrogen and oxygen. These clusters actively sanitize the air and surfaces within your home by neutralizing pathogens like bacteria, viruses, and mold. This technology, originally developed in cooperation with NASA, effectively reduces airborne toxins that traditional filtration can miss.

Enhances Air Quality in Your Home

One of the primary benefits of installing an Aerus Air Scrubber is its remarkable ability to improve the air quality inside your home. By reducing airborne contaminants such as pollen, dust, and pet dander, the system can help alleviate allergy symptoms and create a healthier living environment. Additionally, the air scrubber actively works to neutralize odors from cooking, pets, and smoking, leaving your indoor air fresher.

Protecting Your Household’s Health

Our professionals often emphasize the health benefits provided by the Aerus Air Scrubber, especially for families with members who suffer from respiratory conditions such as asthma or chronic allergies. By removing the particles and pollutants that exacerbate these health issues, the air scrubber helps to provide a significant measure of relief. Moreover, the system can kill surface microbes and airborne contaminants, significantly decreasing the likelihood of sickness spreading within your home.

Easy Integration with Existing Systems

The Aerus Air Scrubber is designed for straightforward integration with your existing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Installation by our trained technicians is seamless, often taking only a few hours, and does not require major modifications to your existing setup. Once installed, the air scrubber operates quietly and efficiently, complementing your HVAC system’s functionality by ensuring cleaner air is distributed throughout your entire home.

Low Maintenance and Cost-Effective

In addition to its health benefits, the Aerus Air Scrubber is a cost-effective choice for enhancing indoor air quality. Compared to other air purification technologies, it requires minimal maintenance. There are no filters to change; the only care it needs involves occasional cleaning and a periodic check to ensure the UV light and catalytic surfaces are functioning correctly. Due to its preventative effects on illness and allergies, it can also help lessen healthcare costs and improve overall well-being.

Environmentally Friendly Technology

We are committed to providing solutions that not only benefit our customers but also respect the environment. The Aerus Air Scrubber is an eco-friendly choice. It operates very efficiently, using only a small amount of energy and significantly reducing the amount of air pollutants and pathogens without producing harmful by-products. By having this system in your home, you are choosing a technology that protects your health while also caring for the planet.

Extended Lifespan of HVAC Systems

Another significant advantage of the Aerus Air Scrubber is its ability to extend the life of HVAC systems. By reducing the amount of dust, hair, and other debris that can clog filters and ductwork, it allows your HVAC system to operate more efficiently. This reduces wear and tear on your system’s components, leading to fewer breakdowns and repairs and ultimately prolonging your system’s operational lifespan.

Versatility in Applications

The Aerus Air Scrubber isn’t just for homes; it’s also incredibly effective in business environments such as offices, schools, and healthcare facilities. In any setting where people gather and the risk of airborne diseases is a concern, this technology can provide a significant benefit by improving air quality and making these spaces safer for everyone.

If my AC system isn't working, what should I check before scheduling an appointment?

Common issues that homeowners can check themselves include:

  • Thermostat Settings: Ensure the thermostat is on and set to cool or heat, and check that the batteries are in good condition.
  • Power Supply: Verify that the breaker is not tripped or off and that the attic light switch for the indoor unit is on.
  • Air Filter: A dirty air filter can cause the system to shut down due to poor airflow.
  • Water Backup: Water in the emergency drain pan can cause the unit to shut off if it's full and contains a float switch.
How often should I change my air filters?

A 1" air filter should be changed approximately every 3 months. A 4" media air filter, typically located in the attic, should be changed every 6 to 12 months. Timeframes may vary depending on factors like the amount of foot traffic in the house (e.g., kids or pets) or how often windows are opened.

Do we work on minisplits? Do they require maintenance?

Carl's Quality provides service for Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, and Gree minisplits. All minisplit systems contain washable filters at the indoor unit that need to be cleaned monthly. It is recommended to have your minisplit maintained twice a year and deeply cleaned once every 2 to 3 years.

Is water draining out of a pipe from my soffit normal?

In most cases, this is not normal. Typically, this pipe is your emergency drain line, which only drains if your primary drain line is clogged.

Why is an appointment required for a system replacement estimate?

Our System Design Specialists are required to perform a Heat Load Calculation (Manual J) on your home. This confirms the capacity of the system needed for your home and takes roughly 45 to 90 minutes.
